Training intervention improves knowledge transfer in high-end-tech industry, suggesting enhanced collaboration with technology.
This study presents a training intervention in a high-end-tech company designed to address internal challenges in decision-making and process optimization within a newly established unit. The intervention is framed within the principles of Industry 5.0, with a strong focus on Cyber-Physical Human Production Systems (CPHPS) as a central enabler. By integrating human insight with cyber-physical systems, the training aimed to improve knowledge transfer, support effective collaboration between workers and intelligent technologies, and foster a human-centric approach to production. The evaluation assessed both company-level outcomes and workforce upskilling, highlighting improvements in adaptability, communication, and data-informed decision-making. The results demonstrate the success of the intervention, particularly in enhancing system responsiveness through “controlled” automation – where technology supports, rather than replaces, human input. The study underscores the importance of CPHPS in facilitating knowledge management and shaping resilient, sustainable, and intelligent production environments, offering practical insights for organizations operating in deep-tech and high-performance sectors.
