Case illustrates therapy-related acute myeloid leukaemia in a patient with relapsed lymphoma, indicating need for monitoring.
A 65‐year‐old man with relapsed follicular lymphoma developed pancytopenia and circulating blasts. Bone‐marrow revealed 20% myeloblasts and adverse hypodiploid cytogenetics, supporting therapy‐related acute myeloid leukaemia. This case illustrates the need for long‐term monitoring in patients receiving intensive lymphoma therapy, like alkylating agents and fludarabine.
