This work presents an effective theoretical framework in which gravity, time, and irreversibility emerge from a universal compressive background rather than from fundamental dynamical fields. The universe is modeled as a self-confined system subject to a homogeneous compressive state whose monotonic relaxation defines an emergent temporal parameter and a preferred arrow of time.
