A Study on the Living Environment of Manufacturing Migrant Workers in Taiwan

This research focuses on the living environment of migrant workers in Taiwan’s manufacturing sector. The key findings are as follows： ① No violations of relevant regulations were found in the migrant worker dormitories at the Taichung Tanci Technology Industrial Park. ② The collaboration between the industrial park and private companies—where the park leases land at a low cost to private companies for the construction of migrant worker dormitories — serves as an effective model for improving their living conditions. ③ RBA audits complement labor inspections and contribute to both supply chain management and the improvement of workers’ conditions.
