Qualitative framework explores improved collaboration and innovation strategies for knowledge transfer in academic communities, focusing on community pharmacies.
Ugandan universities play a significant role in knowledge production and dissemination within their academic communities. A qualitative analytical framework will be employed to explore the current state and potential enhancement of this role. Ugandan universities have produced a notable body of research in various fields but face challenges in effectively disseminating their findings to broader audiences, especially among community pharmacists. There is an identified need for improved collaboration and innovation strategies between universities and local stakeholders such as community pharmacies to enhance knowledge transfer. Promoting interdisciplinary collaborations, enhancing digital communication platforms, and integrating community pharmacy practices into university curricula are recommended steps.
