Key Points

  • The aim is to describe the clinical features and treatment outcomes of patients with Tubulointerstitial Nephritis and Uveitis (TINU) syndrome.
  • Conducted a case series analysis of patients diagnosed with TINU syndrome.
  • Analyzed demographic and clinical presentations.
  • Assessed treatment regimens and their effectiveness.
  • Patients showed a wide variety in clinical presentation.
  • Topical and systemic corticosteroids alone were often insufficient.
  • Most patients needed long-term immunosuppressive therapy to manage the disease.

Abstract

The demographic and clinical presentation of TINU is heterogeneous. Intermediate and posterior segment manifestations are common. Treatment with topical and systemic corticosteroids only may be insufficient to prevent disease relapse, with most patients requiring long-term immunosuppressive therapy.
