In standard cosmology based on General Relativity, space and time emerge simultaneously as components of a unified spacetime manifold. Extrapolation toward the Big Bang singularity suggests that time itself originates together with spatial geometry. In this work, we explore an alternative conceptual hypothesis: that a fundamental temporal ordering may precede the emergence of spatial structure. We propose that time, understood as an ordering parameter or primitive causal structure, may exist independently of spatial geometry in a pre-geometric phase of the Universe. We discuss logical motivations, structural consistency requirements, and possible directions for mathematical formulation. This work does not present a complete theory, but aims to clarify the conceptual viability of temporal primacy in early-universe cosmology.
