Wastewater will cause global water scarcity for consumption along with environmental pollution hazards if we do not take necessary action for its amelioration. The wastewater sources artificially emitted and naturally contaminated by solid metals like arsenic is dangerous. Around 80% of wastewater contains arsenic pollution as a result of different pollutants. These days, arsenic contamination of water has negative health effects on people. It is a difficult undertaking to treat wastewater rather than stop wastewater sources from contributing to water shortages. Conventional procedures are excessively expensive and not ecologically friendly, according to contemporary research trends in wastewater treatment. We are looking for a nature-based, environmentally friendly, and easily accessible management system that could lead to a new awakening in the future. Additionally, we examine the phytoremediation method known as vetiver grass technology (VGT) in this research. Vetiver may be one of the most economical wastewater treatments available, in addition to being beneficial in minimising soil erosion and riverbank erosion.
