Open source platform simplifies ARPES data analysis for researchers, enhancing accessibility and efficiency.
Angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) is essential for probing electronic band structures in crystalline materials. However, data analysis remains challenging due to proprietary software, group specific tools or open source alternatives requiring extensive coding knowledge. We present ARpest, an open source GUI-driven ARPES analysis platform that eliminates programming requirements. ARpest features automated metadata extraction from multiple beamline formats, non-destructive processing pipelines with state management and integrated visualisation for 2D-4D datasets. Built with Python/PyQt5 and installable via pip, ARpest provides experimentalists immediate access to commonly used analysis tools, accelerating research and education in ARPES.
