Mixed-method analysis shows AI improves recruitment efficiency in European banks, indicating positive organizational impacts.
This record provides the Open Access published version of the article:AI Adoption and Recruitment Efficiency in European Banking: A Mixed-Method Analysis (2026). The study investigates the impact of Artificial Intelligence adoption on recruitment efficiency, candidate selection quality, organisational outcomes, and candidate trust in European banks. Using a mixed-method approach (N=200 HR professionals), regression results show that recruitment efficiency (β = 0.562, p < 0.001) and structured evaluation criteria significantly predict positive organisational outcomes, while excessive automation may negatively affect candidate trust. The research integrates the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Resource-Based View (RBV), and Human Capital Theory within the European banking context and aligns findings with the EU AI Act framework.
