Urban areas in Uganda face challenges related to nutrition and adolescent growth outcomes. School-based nutrition programmes are seen as a potential solution. A mixed-methods approach incorporating survey data from adolescents, school records, and anthropometric measurements was employed to assess programme effectiveness. The analysis reveals a significant positive correlation between participation in the nutrition programmes and improved height-for-age z-scores (HAZ) among participating adolescents, indicating better nutritional status leading to enhanced growth outcomes. School-based nutrition programmes show promise in improving adolescent growth in urban Uganda, though further research is needed to explore long-term impacts and cost-effectiveness. Further studies should be conducted to monitor the sustainability of these programmes over time and evaluate their broader socioeconomic benefits. Policy makers could consider scaling up successful models based on this study. Adolescent Growth, Urban Uganda, School Nutrition Programmes, Anthropometric Measurements
