This paper examines blind auditions in The Voice as a naturally occurring case of temporary auditory dominance in a visually saturated culture. It proposes that blind auditions function as an ecologically valid instance of sensory reweighting, revealing the contingency of implicit sensory hierarchies in evaluative perception. The study integrates perceptual psychology, performance studies, and phenomenological listening theory to analyze authenticity judgments, performer psychology, and affective resolution under conditions of visual exclusion.
