Abstract

Industrial pollution in Zambian industries has been a significant environmental concern for decades. A systematic review of existing literature was conducted alongside expert consultations to identify the most effective pollution control measures. A comparative analysis of different technologies was performed using a decision-making support system (DSS) framework. The study identified that the adoption rate of advanced filtration systems in industries increased by 15% over the past five years, reducing particulate matter emissions by an average of 20%. The findings suggest that strategic investments in pollution control technologies have led to significant improvements in air quality and environmental sustainability. Further research should be conducted on integrating renewable energy sources into industrial processes to enhance overall sustainability.
