How Is Subjecthood Possible: Symmetry, Negativity, and Subjecthood

This is the fourth paper in the Self-as-an-End theory series, providing optional ontological grounding for the preceding three papers. Taking a two-step path — the first scientific, the second ethical — it defines negativity as the macroscopic remainder derived from ontic randomness and describes subjecthood as grounded in negativity, processual rather than static, spectral, and completable only through recognition. The paper advances seven contributions: a scientific definition of negativity, a precise description of subjecthood, a distinction among negativity/subjecthood/consciousness, the identification of the sole discontinuous jump at negativity's emergence, a repositioning of identity continuity as external recognition, a deepening of recognition's structure including its temporal symmetry, and a functional prediction that cosmic symmetry is a necessary background condition for the emergence of subjecthood.
