Aquaculture is a significant sector in coastal Benin's economy, contributing to food security and employment opportunities. However, many fish farmers face challenges such as market access, financial management, and sustainable practices. The research employed a comparative design with two aquaculture clusters randomly selected from different regions. Qualitative data were collected through interviews and focus group discussions, supplemented by quantitative analysis of farmer survey responses. Training programmes led to a notable increase in farmers' business revenues by an average of 30%, indicating improved financial management practices among participants. The training programmes demonstrated significant positive impacts on fish farmers' businesses and sustainability efforts, fostering entrepreneurial skills that contribute to long-term economic viability. Governments and development partners should invest in continuous support for aquaculture entrepreneurs through tailored training programmes and access to finance.
