Abstract

This paper offers a response to the 2025 Foulkes Lecture, given by Teresa von Sommaruga Howard with a response by Anando Chatterji, as well as the study day which followed. The study day consisted of four large groups, and the paper offers its own associative response to the whole. In its associative form, incorporating memories and snippets from the groups, the paper is a mimetic response to large group processes, attempting to synthesise inner and societal resonances with those unfolding across the groups themselves.
