Geochemical analyses characterize gold mineralization in Southern Upper-Yana, indicating Mesozoic origins.
Based on mass silicate, spectrum and neutron activation analyses, main structural-metallogenic subdivisions of the southern Upper-Yana region are characterized geochemically. These are: southern Upper-Yana synclinorium, horst-anticlinorium of the Sette-Daban and Kyllakh Uplift. To elucidate genesis and mineralo-geochemical features of gold occurrences in the Sette-Daban and Kyllakh Uplift, the basic concept of the plate tectonics are used for the first time and the conclusion is made about Mesozoic age of gold mineralization in structures of Caledonian-Hercynian and Baikalian consolidations.
