Currently, the construction of ideological and political courses is one of the hot topics in enhancing university physics courses. This paper takes 293 related articles from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) as the data foundation and uses the CiteSpace software for visual analysis of authors, research institutions, keywords, etc. The results show: (1) The number of published research papers shows a trend of initial growth followed by a decrease, with loose cooperation between authors and institutions, demonstrating a characteristic of “large dispersion, small concentration”; (2) The research topics mainly cover two areas: “ideological and political education” and “professional education”. “Curriculum Ideological and Political Education” and “University Physics” are classic research contents, and “moral education”, “teaching reform”, “ideological and political education”, and “ideological and political elements” are important entry points for future research. Based on this, to further promote the development of ideological and political education in college physics, it is suggested that researchers strengthen cooperation and communication, deeply explore the integration of ideological and political elements, and further improve the construction of the ideological and political education system in university physics courses. These efforts will help improve the quality and effectiveness of ideological and political education in college physics and promote the development of higher education in our country.
