The subject of the research is the concept of worldview security, which, according to A. I. Melikhov's interpretation, represents a metacategory and is one of the main components of national security. Given the geopolitical context, worldview security currently assumes primary importance for the preservation of national identity and sociocultural stability. The focus of the research is on information security, which is viewed as a tool of worldview security. It facilitates the revival of inherently Russian ideals, prevents the spread of destructive ideologies, and contributes to the consolidation of society around common goals and objectives. The aim of the research is to identify and scientifically substantiate the role of information security in the context of worldview security. The initial hypothesis of the research is the assertion of the need to modernize the model of national security in the sphere of worldview. The methodological framework includes the concepts of organic theory of the state and systemic security theory. The paper employs an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating philosophical analysis, historical-documentary, and comparative-historical methods to compare ideological transformations. The source base consists of historical facts from the Cold War period, as well as examples of social programming and the destruction of ideological infrastructure. The article examines the potential of information security as a tool applied in practice during the implementation of the concept of worldview security. The author perceives a bifurcation occurring in the society of the Russian state as a consequence of the crisis caused by global geopolitical metamorphoses. It concludes that during the world transformation from a unipolar to a multipolar order, there arises a necessity to modernize the national security system. The metamorphoses resulting from global changes in political, economic, and national aspects will inevitably feedback into internal entropy within society in the state itself. Thus, a restoration of the national security system of Russia is necessary. The author considers information security as the substantive basis of worldview security, proposing to use it as a tool to achieve the latter.
