This study depicts groundwater potential areas in Kakinada district using an integrated analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and Arc-gis approach. Major parameters including geology, geomorphology, slope, Curvature, drainage density, Rain fall, Topographic wet index, soil, and land use/land cover were analyzed through remote sensing and secondary data. Each factor was assigned a weight using AHP, and a weighted overlay in arc-gis was made to generate groundwater potential maps. The region was classified into very high, high, low and very low potential areas. This approach supports permanent groundwater management and effective resource scheme in the district.
