Abstract

The article presents the results of a study on the features of organizing an interactive educational environment and its impact on learners in order to gain new knowledge and experience. The interactive educational environment within the context of firearms training for law enforcement personnel has significant educational and developmental potential. The aim of the study is to identify the features of designing an interactive educational environment based on the experience of conducting training sessions by the Department of Firearms Training at the Ural Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, for the subsequent construction of an interactive training model for law enforcement personnel. The interactive educational environment implies that the learner, during pedagogical interaction, adapts and becomes a subject of the educational process. Under such conditions, they become involved in the educational process, and their creative activity is stimulated. It is likely that this form of organizing learning activities will positively influence learners due to the stimulation of their initiative and motivation. Research methods include analysis, observation, as well as methods of generalization and systematization of the data and experience gathered by the Department of Firearms Training. The aforementioned methods were employed during sessions on professional service and physical training with the faculty and administrative staff of the Ural Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Currently, the contradiction between the existing requirement for conscious and responsible use of firearms by law enforcement personnel in high-risk situations and their insufficient readiness determines the relevance of implementing an innovative approach to organizing the educational process. To address this issue, it will be beneficial for the firearms instructor, as a subject of pedagogical activity, to use interactive training to stimulate the educational and cognitive activity of law enforcement personnel with the aim of developing necessary professional and personal qualities. The theoretical significance lies in the specification of the concept of "interactive educational environment" with the definition of its design features for an effective learning process. The practical significance is in the opportunity to share the experience of using interactive training in preparing learners in general, as well as in the field of training law enforcement personnel in the use of firearms in anticipated operational service activities. In conclusion, some results and possible prospects for interactive training in the preparation of law enforcement personnel for the use of firearms are identified.
