SPIMAG reveals a quantum biophysical framework enhancing understanding of magnetoreception in migratory animals, suggesting new geospatial navigation technologies.
SPIMAG presents a unified multi-parameter quantum biophysical framework for decoding, computational modeling, and geospatial application of cryptochrome-mediated magnetoreception in migratory animals. The framework integrates eight quantum parameters into a single Spin-Magnetic Navigation Index (SMNI): Spin Quantum Yield, Zeeman Energy Splitting, Quantum Coherence Lifetime, Magnetic Inclination Sensitivity, Paramagnetic Susceptibility, Singlet-Triplet State Probability, Dipolar Coupling Tensor, and Navigational Vector Precision. Validated across 31 migratory species on 5 continents, SPIMAG achieves 94.8% classification accuracy. Applications include geomagnetic storm impact monitoring, anthropogenic RF disruption mapping, and bio-inspired quantum magnetometer design.
