This work investigates electrochemically exfoliated 2D nanosheets, demonstrating their effectiveness in electronic circuits, indicating potential for advanced applications.
This work combines theory and experiment to investigate electrochemically exfoliated two-dimensional nanosheets and their application in solution-processed electronic circuits. The study establishes stiffness anisotropy (Ein/Eout > 1.7) as a key criterion for successful exfoliation and high aspect-ratio nanosheet production. Resulting networks exhibit mobilities up to ~13 cm2 V−1 s−1 and on/off ratios up to 10^5, enabling functional solution-processed circuits including inverters, buffers, digital-to-analog converters, and binary-amplitude-shift-keying communication circuits. The results provide design rules for high-performance printable electronics based on 2D materials.
