Objectives: This study aims to report a case of nummular eczema improved by Mahwangyeongyojeogsodu-tang.Methods: The symptom changes of nummular eczema lesions were evaluated using the Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI) and the Validated Investigator Global Assessment scale for Atopic Dermatitis (vIGA-AD™). Skin itching was assessed using the Worst Pruritus Numerical Rating Scale (WP-NRS), and sleep disturbance was assessed using the Visual analog scale (VAS). We retrospectively analyzed changes in each observation item according to clinical progress recorded in the electronic medical record system. Results: Using Mahwangyeongyojeoksodu-tang as a treatment intervention, nummular eczema that had persisted for 7 months showed improvement in subjective and objective evaluations after 35 days. A 2-year follow-up observation survey confirmed that there was no recurrence or worsening of nummular eczema. Conclusion: Mahwangyeongyojeoksodu-tang may be one of the selective therapeutic interventions for nummular eczema that shows limitations in steroid therapy.
