Objective. To carry out an analysis of the morbidity of the adult working-age population of Moscow and prepare proposals for improving preventive work. Materials and methods. Statistical materials of the Mosstat, RIH for 2014—2023, data from the Form of Federal Statistical Monitoring №30, Form of Sectoral Statistical Observation №14ds were used. Results. The population size of Moscow (2023) was 13 149.8 thousand people, the proportion of working-age persons increased to 58.0% (from 2019 to 2023). The overall incidence rate in Moscow is lower than in the Russian Federation (Moscow — 154 217.4‰00, Russian Federation — 171 954.8 ‰00, respectively). The study of primary incidence of the adult working-age population of Moscow in dynamics (2019—2023) by disease classes has shown a growth in 2023 compared to 2019 level (before the COVID-19 epidemic) by 6.9%. The greatest increase has been noted in the following classes: mental and behavioral disorders — by 48.8%, neoplasms — by 23.0%, diseases of the eye and adnexa — by 20.4%, diseases of the circulatory system — by 19.7%, diseases of the nervous system — by 17.1%, etc. Health protection of the adult working-age population determines the need to strengthen rehabilitation, regular medical check-up and prevention. District physicians, general practitioners, day hospitals and health schools play a key role in this work; their performance in Moscow is presented in the article. Conclusion. Health protection of labor potential in Moscow can be more effective in case management solutions aimed at improvement of organizational forms of preventive work with the population are developed.
