Community health workers (CHWs) play a critical role in maternal healthcare coverage across various settings, including Ethiopia's rural communities. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among a sample of 200 women who had given birth within the past two years, focusing on their experiences with CHWs and access to maternal care services. CHWs significantly increased awareness about maternal health services in the villages, particularly in rural areas where traditional methods were less effective. The findings suggest that integrating CHWs into existing healthcare systems can improve maternal healthcare coverage and outcomes in Ethiopian communities. Implementing structured training programmes for CHWs to enhance their skills and knowledge is recommended alongside community mobilization efforts to ensure comprehensive maternal health services are accessible.
