ABSTRACT The global food system faces sustainability, safety, and equity challenges. Agroecological practises offer solutions through sustainable production and resource conservation. This study examines apricot producers' willingness to adopt agricultural practises in Malatya, Türkiye, focusing on their attitudes, behaviours and the factors influencing this willingness. Malatya, accounting for about 9% of global apricot production in 2023, was selected as the study area. Using simple random sampling, 100 face‐to‐face interviews were conducted. Logistic regression identified key determinants of producers' willingness to adopt agricultural practises. Internet use and more farm employees positively influenced willingness to adopt agroecological practises, whilst reliance on fuel and fertiliser support had a negative effect. Age was also negatively associated, indicating that older producers are less willing to adopt such practises. The study contributes to Türkiye's agroecological research by providing insights into producer' adoption intentions and behavioural readiness, as well as the barriers to adoption. The findings highlight the importance of information access, labour availability and targeted policy support, particularly for older and input‐dependent producers.
