Abstract

ABSTRACT Chromium (III) coordinated to 2‐(2‐amino‐ethylimino) methyl‐6‐methoxyphenol decorated Fe 3 O 4 @Silicapropyl Nps was synthesized and characterized by FT‐IR, FE‐SEM, TEM, XRD, VSM, TGA‐DTG, DLS, and EDX. Then, the application of this new nano catalyst for the Synthesis of 2,3‐dihydroquinazolin‐4(1H)‐ones via direct cyclocondensation reaction of various aldehydes and 2‐aminobenzamide was investigated. The procedure proceeded in high yields and short reaction times. Easy preparation of the catalyst, easy work‐up, and use of solvent‐free conditions are the main advantages of the protocol. The nanocatalyst can be reused for six reaction cycles with no notable decrease in catalytic efficiency.
