This investigation reveals how annealing affects the structure and properties of Ti2MnSn alloy, indicating its potential for spintronics applications.
Heusler alloys are highly valued because of their relative abundance, mechanical and thermal stability, low toxicity, and potential for use in spintronics applications. Herein, we established that the Ti 2 MnSn inverse Heusler alloy can be attained by automated wet ball milling synthesis of metal precursors, tracked by annealing. It is revealed that the prepared alloy exhibits the efficient structure (Hg 2 CuTi–type Heusler phase), face‐centered cubic with XA or X α . The influence of dispensation parameters on structural, phase conformation, thermoelectric, and magnetic assets of Ti 2 MnSn is considered. High‐resolution scanning electron microscope reveals the development of accumulated morphology in the alloy. The morphological study also noted that the particles were shaped by the arbitrary lapping of Ti 2 MnSn Heusler alloy nanoparticles. The thermoelectric properties respond as a function of temperature, with the investigated alloy displaying a high value of the Seebeck coefficient –50 μV/K at 600 K. Moreover, electrical properties expose that the present alloy has a metal‐like behavior. Magnetic properties endorse soft ferromagnetic characteristics with high saturation 10.14 emu/g and low coercivity value 93 Oe. The present study proposes that the Ti 2 MnSn inverse Heusler alloy is a potential candidate for spintronics device applications.
