The study explores the evolution of philosophical thought in Lesotho following its independence from colonial rule. A comprehensive survey was conducted among a diverse sample of philosophers, scholars, and students to gather insights into philosophical developments since independence. Findings indicate that there is a notable increase in the integration of traditional Basotho values with Western philosophy, particularly evident in recent publications focusing on ethics and cultural identity. The survey reveals a dynamic interplay between indigenous and global philosophical thought, highlighting Lesotho's unique contribution to African studies.
