Albiflorin Relieves Intervertebral Disc Degeneration Through Inhibiting Nucleus Pulposus Cell via the p38 MAPK/NF‐κB Pathway
Key Points
Investigate how albiflorin affects nucleus pulposus cells in intervertebral disc degeneration.
Examined the effects of albiflorin on nucleus pulposus cell function
Assessed apoptosis rates and inflammatory responses
Analyzed extracellular matrix degradation through biochemical assays
Albiflorin reduced apoptosis in nucleus pulposus cells
It lowered the inflammatory response markers
Decreased extracellular matrix degradation observed through assays
Abstract
AF relieved IDD through repressing NP cell apoptosis, inflammatory response, and ECM degradation through the p38 MAPK/NF-κB pathway, indicating that it is a potential IDD therapeutic agent.
