This analysis reveals variations in clinical outcomes across district hospitals in Kenya, suggesting targeted interventions for improvement.
Clinical outcomes in district hospitals systems across Kenya have seen inconsistencies over time, necessitating a methodological evaluation to improve their quality and efficiency. A Bayesian hierarchical regression model was employed to analyse data from district hospitals in Kenya, incorporating both fixed effects (such as patient demographics) and random effects (hospital characteristics). The analysis revealed significant variation in clinical outcomes between different districts, with certain hospitals showing improvement over time. This study provides a robust framework for understanding and enhancing the performance of district hospital systems in Kenya through targeted interventions. District health authorities are encouraged to implement evidence-based strategies informed by this model to improve patient care and outcomes. Bayesian Hierarchical Model, District Hospitals, Clinical Outcomes, Kenya, Medicine Treatment effect was estimated with logit(pᵢ)=β₀+β^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
