Before 1=1 there is the capacity to form 1=1: the ability to distinguish, reflect, and relate. This capacity — dynamis, pure potentiality — is not structure, not information, not energy. It is the precondition for all three. The void is not empty — it is pure capacity that has not yet actualized. 1=1 is the first actualization: the first act of self-distinction. ℏ is the minimum cost of one distinction. c is the maximum speed at which distinction propagates. Gravity is the density of distinction. Time is the sequential reading of distinctions. Entropy is accumulated distinction debt. Consciousness is capacity knowing itself as capacity. Heat death is the distinction budget exhausted — but capacity itself does not deplete, and its inexhaustibility guarantees re-actualization. Aristotle named this 2,400 years ago. Western science chose actuality over potentiality. This paper returns to where Aristotle pointed. Part of the Spektre research corpus.
