This assessment demonstrates increased strength and durability in steel fiber reinforced concrete supports, indicating improved structural integrity.
The paper considers a promising material used as reinforcement, steel fiber concrete. It is a composite material with high strength and resistance to various influences. Steel fiber concrete has gained recognition for its improved properties, including increased durability and increased load-bearing capacity. The article presents the results of a study of the stress-strain state of reinforced concrete supports of a technological overpass reinforced with steel-fiber concrete. The object under study is a reinforced concrete column of a technological overpass made of concrete of class B25. A computer modeling technique using the LIRA-CAD software package is presented, as well as a numerical experiment program that includes varying key geometric, physical, static, and damaging factors. The dependences between the design parameters and the load-bearing capacity of steel-fiber reinforced columns are revealed. It is shown that the use of steel-fiber concrete significantly increases the strength, ductility and crack resistance of structures, reduces the development of internal stresses and slows down the destruction process. The most fracture-resistant samples have been identified, which makes it possible to recommend the use of steel-fiber-reinforced concrete clips to strengthen reinforced concrete structures in conditions of wear and corrosion of the base concrete
