Abstract

This documentation is intended to guide the staff of the Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research group (MWLR group) of the New Zealand Bioeconomy Science Institute (NZBSI) as well as other Wikimedia Commons editors in the bulk uploading of natural history specimen images and their accompanying structured data into Wikimedia Commons via OpenRefine. This documentation uses the Wikimedia Commons data model for Natural History specimen images https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18880400 and the Crosswalk for Natural History Specimen Data Model - Wikimedia Commons + SDC https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18881782 to help guide these uploads.
