This analysis shows the detrimental effects of export controls and tariff barriers on supply chain resilience, suggesting the need for digital intelligence solutions.
Supply chain security and stability are fundamental guarantees for constructing a modern industrial system. This paper takes export controls and tariff barriers, exemplified by the U.S. "Entity List," as a starting point to analyze their impact on the resilience of industrial and supply chains. The study finds that export controls, by restricting the flow of high-tech products, hinder technological innovation and weaken the resilience of industrial and supply chains. Tariff barriers, on the other hand, raise trade costs and affect technological innovation, thereby reducing the resilience of industrial and supply chains. The combined effect of both further exacerbates supply chain risks. In the face of these dual challenges of export controls and tariff barriers, leveraging digital intelligence to drive core technological breakthroughs, reduce trade costs, and enhance supply chain resilience is crucial.
