District hospitals in Ghana play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to underserved populations. However, their effectiveness and efficiency vary significantly across different districts. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from clinical outcome assessments with qualitative insights through interviews and focus groups. Data were collected from 10 districts across Ghana, ensuring a comprehensive representation of the country's healthcare landscape. Multilevel regression analysis revealed that socioeconomic status significantly influenced patient recovery rates (OR = 1.23; CI: 1.05-1.46). The study highlights the importance of addressing socio-economic disparities to improve clinical outcomes in district hospitals. Interventions targeting socioeconomic factors are recommended to enhance patient recovery rates and overall healthcare quality in Ghanaian district hospitals.
