Qualitative exploration reveals integration strategies and social cohesion in migrant communities, indicating cultural adaptation's role in resilience.
Migration patterns from Southern Africa to Egypt have intensified in recent decades, leading to diverse migrant communities with unique cultural heritages. Qualitative methodologies such as semi-structured interviews and participant observation were employed to gather data from migrants and local contacts in Egypt. A key theme emerged regarding the integration strategies used by migrants, with approximately 60% indicating language proficiency as a significant factor for social cohesion. The findings highlight the interplay between cultural adaptation and resilience among migrant communities, offering insights into cross-cultural dynamics in migration studies. Further research should explore long-term impacts of these integration strategies on community development within Egypt's context.
