Research demonstrates effective photocatalytic degradation of glyphosate and AMPA in continuous flow, suggesting enhanced pollutant removal with PVDF-TiO2 membranes.
Continuous-Flow Photocatalytic Degradation In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202511431), Andrea I. Schäfer and co-workers investigate the photodegradation of glyphosate (GLY) and its primary metabolite, aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), using a poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane with immobilized titanium dioxide (PVDF-TiO2) in a continuous-flow-through operation under solar light. The potential of photocatalytic membranes for the degradation of low-molecular-weight, charged micropollutants in continuous operation is highlighted. Markus Breig (KIT) is thanked for taking the photo of the photocatalytic system.
