Renewable energy technologies are increasingly recognised as crucial for sustainable development in rural areas of developing countries. The theoretical framework highlights the critical need for policy interventions that address these challenges to promote sustainable renewable energy use in rural Kenya. Investment in education programmes to enhance awareness about renewable energy benefits, and provision of subsidies or grants for small-scale projects are recommended.
