Technical note describes a new separation method for formation gas, indicating efficiency improvement in gas treatment.
Efficient separation of formation gas, condensate, and produced water is a key technological challenge in gas production and treatment facilities. Traditional separation systems may experience reduced efficiency when processing multiphase mixtures under variable flow conditions. This technical note provides an overview of the patented technology described in RU2821408C1, which introduces an improved method for separation of formation gas mixtures. The proposed approach incorporates a modified buffer tank configuration and multi-stage separation arrangement designed to enhance phase separation efficiency and operational stability. The technology may improve gas treatment performance, reduce liquid carryover, and increase reliability of downstream gas processing systems.Related patent: RU2821408C1 – Formation Gas Mixture Separation Method.
