Difference-in-Differences model shows improved clinical outcomes in rural clinics in Rwanda, suggesting impact on treatment effectiveness.
Rural clinics in Rwanda face challenges related to clinical outcomes due to limited resources and skilled healthcare workers. Difference-in-Differences model was used to analyse pre- and post-intervention data from 10 randomly selected rural clinics across Rwanda. The DiD model accounts for potential confounding factors using robust standard errors. A statistically significant improvement in patient recovery rates (p < 0.05) was observed after the intervention, suggesting enhanced clinical performance within the rural clinics. The application of DiD models has provided valuable insights into the effectiveness of rural clinic systems in Rwanda and can be used to inform future policy decisions. Further research should explore long-term impacts and scalability of these interventions across diverse settings. Rural Clinics, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Clinical Outcomes, Rwanda Treatment effect was estimated with logit(pᵢ)=β₀+β^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
