Highlights Vamorolone is unique from other steroids due to its mineralocorticoid antagonism. Additional hydrocortisone is needed for stress dosing in times of illness. Electrolytes should be monitored during transition to vamorolone and illness. Cardiac medications may need adjustment during illness if on vamorolone.
