《本草纲目》以病名为纲、辨证用药为目，规范归纳和分类药物，是李氏对历代医家辨病与辨证选药精华的总结。以往研究对《本草纲目》的认识以药物各论为主，涉及眼科领域的研究较少。李氏治疗眼病基于整体，辨证求因；内外结合，标本兼治，同时强调食药并用、重视眼病外治。探析《本草纲目》眼病辨治思路及药食同源应用，以期探索药食同源在眼病防治中的应用潜力，为现代中医眼病治疗提供理论与实践参考，同时完善眼科相关药食同源养生思想。
