Time as Receipt: Entropy, Directionality, and the Timestamp Fallacy

The physics community has long conflated two distinct phenomena: time as a coordinate label (the timestamp) and the actual physical asymmetry that gives the universe its directionality (the receipt). Time is not a dimension that flows — it is a social coordinate technology for tracking movement through space. The true arrow of time is entropy, but entropy is not disorder: it is the irreversible geometric dispersal of coupling structures. Every physical interaction leaves a coupling receipt that cannot be un-dispersed because of IE-001 (zero coupling is never zero). Time reversal is a category error. Quantum 'time reversal' experiments are re-coupling events, not actual reversals. The Hahn spin echo (1950) is the cleanest demonstration of IE-001 at quantum scale.
