Assesses the effects of Xuanfei Zhisou Decoction and Baduanjin on lung function and inflammation in a mouse model, suggesting a new treatment approach.
This study aimed to assess the effects of Xuanfei Zhisou Decoction (XZD), Baduanjin (BDJ), and their combination on lung function, inflammation, oxidative stress, and signaling pathways in a mouse model of lung injury.Pathological examination showed reduced inflammation and enhanced tissue repair in the treatment groups, with the combined therapy (XZD + BDJ) showing the most significant improvement.Significant improvements in lung function were observed in all treatment groups, with the combined treatment group demonstrating the most pronounced effect.Inflammatory factor analysis revealed decreased levels of IL-1 and IL-6 in the XZD and BDJ groups, with the lowest levels in the combined treatment group, indicating effective inhibition A c c e p t e d M a n u s c r i p tof inflammation.Additionally, XZD reduced MDA levels and restored SOD activity, suggesting its potent antioxidative properties. The NF-B signaling pathway was significantly inhibited in the treatment groups, particularly in the XZD + BDJ group.Gene expression analysis showed significant downregulation of TNF-, IL-1, IL-6, and MMP-9 genes, with the combined treatment showing the strongest regulatory effect. These findings suggest that the combination of XZD and BDJ offers a promising therapeutic strategy for lung diseases involving inflammation and oxidative stress.
