Examines how social support influences resilience against cyberbullying in high school students, suggesting protective mechanisms.
The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of perceived social support in the relationship between cyberbullying victimization and psychological resilience level in high school students. A total of 262 students from different high schools in Turkey participated in the study. Participants answered scales measuring cyberbullying victimization, psychological resilience, and perceived social support. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The findings of the analysis showed that there were significant negative relationships between cyberbullying and psychological resilience and significant positive relationships between perceived social support and psychological resilience. In addition, social support was found to play a partial mediating role in the relationship between cyberbullying and psychological resilience.
