This commentary examines gender dynamics in political power transitions following the Egyptian revolution. A qualitative approach was employed, drawing from published reports, interviews, and secondary data sources for analysis of gendered narratives within political power structures. Despite some progress, there is a persistent underrepresentation of women in political power transitions in Egypt, highlighting the need for targeted policy interventions to enhance gender inclusion. Policy recommendations include establishing quotas for women's representation and enhancing training programmes aimed at increasing female participation in leadership roles.
