Demonstrates the structural properties of co-doped zinc ferrite, highlighting its implications for material applications.
Sol Gel assisted auto‐combustion method used to synthesize the polycrystalline powder of Co x Zn 1‐x Fe 2 O 4 with the varying Co proportion from 0.0 to 0.3. The structural phase identification of the sample was studied using the powder x‐ray diffraction technique. XRD data revealed the Cubic structure with Fd3m space group of the synthesized ferrite material. The doping of Co ion has not altered the crystal structure, while it has contributed to the slight change in the unit cell volume and lattice parameter values. No secondary peaks are observed in the XRD data. Morphological study showed agglomeration of particles in the prepared cobalt‐doped zinc ferrite material. The Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed the incorporation of Co 2+ ions within ZnFe 2 O 4 host lattice. The Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) study showed that the peaks around 555‐542 cm −1 and 418‐412 cm −1 correspond to the strong metal ferrite bonds in Tetrahedral (A—site) and Octahedral (B—site), respectively.
