Documents the rediscovery of Munronia pinnata in Assam, indicating its conservation needs.
We report the recollection of Munronia pinnata (Wall.) W.Theob. after a lapse of 111 years from Assam and document its first record from the Brahmaputra valley. The species is provided here with a taxonomic description along with phenology, conservation status, notes on habitat and ecology, uses, and distributional range. Detailed colored photoplate and voucher specimen data are included to facilitate identification, supporting further floristic documentation in the region. The study underscores the need for conservation attention at the local scale due to its uncommon occurrences within the local flora.
